Hoeve Meerzicht

Hoeve Meerzicht is a cattle breeding company with 100 beef cattle, of which 70 milking cows and 30 young cattle.
You are most welcome to take a look at the calves or during milking of the cows. Piet and Paula Kalverboer are willing to tell you about their company.
In spring here is lots of rumour, the 55 sheeps giving birth, a sign that spring announced itself.
The polder "the Monnickenmeer" are a peat meadow area of approximately 125 hectares, of which the family Kalverboer have 45 hectares in use.
The company occupies itself actif with meadow bird protection and has flowerfull ditch sides.
Beside the milk cattle breeding and the guest rooms, we gladly receive groups and schools to give their explanation concerning our company. One time per year we organise with colleagues from the surrounding area a ride along farmers, a bicycle excursion of 15 kilometres for the whole family, on each company are several activities and curiosities. A returning event is the "Blubberrace". A competition over the farming fields and ditches of the Monnickenmeer and Overleek, a spectacle for competetors and spectators.
